CPU 2157 Care at Home Services for Adults Accreditation

Description
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ACCREDITATION APPLICATION WILL CLOSE FOR THE FINAL TIME ON 16 JANUARY 2026. NO FURTHER APPLICATIONS FOR THIS CONTRACT CAN BE SUBMITTED AFTER THAT DATE.
This application process is to establish an Accredited Provider list of experienced and qualified Care at Home Service providers, who may be required in addition to our established Lead Provider contracts for this service. Applicants must meet the essential criteria set out in the application documents to be considered. The Accreditation operates across the City of Nottingham. Providers are required to deliver end to end care, including health care tasks. There will be a fixed hourly payment rate, incorporating travel time and travel costs. Contract duration: 3 years, possible 4 years extension Total value: up to around £55,641,250 over the life of the whole contract across all contracted providers.

Potential applicants should note that the accreditation operates as a back up to Lead Provider contracts, which are the Council's primary mechanism for commissioning care at home. Packages will always be placed through the Lead Providers where this is possible, and we will only approach the Accreditation in the event that the Lead Providers cannot provide the services required.

The Council does not guarantee any volume of work being placed under the Accreditation. The average number of packages placed with accredited providers between June and September 2024 was 1.7 per month. Therefore providers are recommended to establish a number of referral routes and not to rely on accreditation with the Council as a means to expand their business.

This is a procurement process for social and specific services in accordance with the Public Contract Regulations 2015 Light Touch Regime. Commencement date: 1 April 2019.
