Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA) Market Warming Event 12/07/17
Main contract details
The London Borough of Merton would like to invite interested providers to a Market Warming Event in regard to plans for commissioning a newly designed Domestic Violence and Abuse service
The event will be held on:
Wednesday 12 July 2017
Merton Civic Centre, Committee Rooms B&C, London Road, Morden, SM4 5DX
The event will run from 09:30 for registrations with a 10:00 prompt start. The event will close at 12:30.
Please note that the easiest means of access to the Civic Centre is via public transport
The Borough is seeking to invite suitably experienced providers of DVA services within two fields of expertise:
• Independent Domestic Violence Advocates
• Refuge Provision
This is an exciting opportunity to work with Commissioners to deliver an innovative and forward looking service with a substantial emphasis upon delivering the “right service at the right time” for our clients and ensuring that Merton provides a welcoming and safe haven for victims of DVA.
The event will also provide an opportunity for potential providers to understand more about the services that will be procured, its core components and the approaches which we wish to take.
In addition it is intended that the event will enable potential providers to;
• Engage with the Commissioners (Safer Merton, Children’s Schools and Families, Adult Social care) to understand the challenges, intentions and desired outcomes for the services.
• Identify challenges for the providers in delivering the required outcomes.
• Explore opportunities for partnerships and consortia.
• Enable organisations to effectively plan for the potential forthcoming procurement.
This exercise is not part of any pre-qualification or selection process. It is intended as an awareness, communication and information-gathering exercise offering an opportunity for potential providers to help understand commissioning intentions and offer opportunities for potential future providers to network, forge partnerships and start thinking about recovery focussed service delivery models.
This therefore does not represent a commitment from the participating local authorities to award a contract or issue an invite to tender to any provider that expresses an interest in this market warming exercise.
If you wish to attend please contact Katy Saunders on 0208 545 4146 or via katy.saunders@merton.gov.uk confirming names of attendees for your organisation
