Review of Independent Provision for CYP with Special Educational Needs and Disability

We are currently reviewing the commissioning of independent provision of education or education with care for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disability.

The review was scheduled to take place in early spring but due to COVID 19 pandemic and lock down, the time table has been revised.

Although we are not able to hold face to face engagement opportunities during the current time, it is still really important that we hear the views of providers as well as other key stakeholders.

We have therefore attached the on-line survey below for your attention. Some of the questions in the survey reflect themes raised by local authorities, children and young people or parents/carers.

Your views and input are very important to us and will be valuable in co-mapping future commissioning and provision requirements . We hope this survey provides an opportunity for providers to share their views in order to inform future commissioning and how we can continue to work together in partnership to improve outcomes for children and young people in the region.

The survey will be open from today 15th June and has now been extended until Friday 10th July 2020.

Following the analysis of this survey we anticipate there may be the need to hold a few webinar workshops with a smaller group of providers to explore key themes in more detail. For those who would like be involved in the provider subgroup discussions, the following dates and times have been set aside for the webinar meetings. Please indicate on the survey form which availability will best suits you, so we can send you the joining details as soon as possible following the closing date.
