Independent / non-maintained special schools Approved Provider List for Nottinghamshire

Nottinghamshire County Council (The Council) is seeking to establish a provider list, using a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) under the Light Touch regime of the Public Contracts regulations 2015, of organisations who are able to provide commissioned placements of children and young people.

The Provider List became active on the 1st of September 2016 and was due to expire on the 31st of August 2023. The DPS was extended for a seven (7) month period until the 31st of March 2024 to allow for the completion of the recommissioning process, which gave a new expiry date of the 31st of March 2024 (unless terminated earlier). Due to the recommissioning process for the new Specialist Education framework has not yet completed, the DPS has been extended for a further 9 months to the 31st of December 2024. The new expiry date of the DPS is the 31st of December 2024. The extension of the DPS allows the Council to continue to make referrals to current providers already on the Nottinghamshire Approved Provider List. Please note that the Council will not be accepting new applications to the DPS from the 1st of September as the DPS ends on the 31st December and any new schools wishing to provide specialist education placements to the Council must apply to join the new Specialist Education framework instead.

This DPS will no longer be active as from the 1st January 2025.
