Digital Arts Action Research Project Tender
Main contract details
St Helens Library Service was awarded National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) status by Arts Council England in 2018 to continue to deliver its established and Award-winning Arts in Libraries programme, Cultural Hubs.
A strand of the NPO work, funded through Arts Council England, is to develop a digital arts offer within Libraries.
We are interested in developing an ‘action research’ approach to developing digital engagement within St Helens Library Service through the question:
· ‘What might a digital arts programme look like in St Helens?’
We want to explore how we might develop an approach to digital arts delivery that is flexible and could take place across the Library Service.
We want the development to engage the Library Team and partners in an interactive and creative way and to test some possible approaches to digital arts delivery in Library spaces so that the team can enjoy the process and develop our understanding of the breadth of possibilities for this area of work.
Partners engaged with the development of this work to date include Heart of Glass, FACT, Cultured (St Helens Local Cultural Education Partnership) and the Citadel.
The full brief, available on the Chest, sets out the scope of the work.
