<p>North Somerset Council would like to engage with potential providers to deliver a support group service for adults living in the local area that have been bereaved by suicide. The purpose of this soft market engagement exercise is to gauge interest in this opportunity and inform service specification development.</p>
<p>This is not a call for competition, we are completing a market sounding exercise. Therefore, if you are interested in this opportunity, please click the expression of interest link on the portal and complete and return the attached questionnaire via this portal by no later than 13:00pm on Friday 22 October 2021.</p>
<p>The service aims to go live by April 1, 2022 and will have an approximate budget of &pound;10,000 per year.</p>
<p>Subject to change, as part of this contract the provider will be expected:</p>
<p>&bull; To deliver a monthly support group for people who have been bereaved by suicide in North Somerset.</p>
<p>&bull; To recruit, train and provide supervision and support for a minimum of two facilitators. Where possible, at least one of these volunteers should have lived experience of being bereaved by suicide themselves.</p>
<p>&bull; To book, pay for and liaise with a venue in which the group will be hosted.</p>
<p>&bull; To coordinate a period of research and engagement with potential service users to determine the needs of the service.</p>
<p>&bull; To develop a promotional plan including stakeholder engagement to advertise the service to users.</p>
<p>&bull; To comply with an external evaluation of the service and inform all users from the point of entry of its occurrence.</p>
<p>&bull; To become a member of the North Somerset Suicide Prevention Steering Group and attend its quarterly meetings.</p>
<p>&bull; To adhere to legal requirements around DBS checks, adult safeguarding and the Equality Act 2010.</p>
