The Royal Marsden opened its doors in 1851 as the world’s first hospital dedicated to cancer diagnosis, treatment, research and education. Today, together with its academic partner, The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), it is the largest and most comprehensive cancer centre in Europe, treating over 50,000 NHS and private patients every year. It is a centre of excellence with an international reputation for ground-breaking research and pioneering the very latest in cancer treatments and technologies, as well as specialising in cancer diagnosis and education.

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust has two hospitals: one in Chelsea, London, and another in Sutton, Surrey. It also has a Chemotherapy Medical Daycare Unit at Kingston Hospital. The Royal Marsden also provides community services in the London Borough of Sutton. In June 2010, along with the ICR, The Royal Marsden launched a new academic partnership with Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Middlesex.

Within Lot 1 of these services the Trust seeks to procure suppliers for the provision of Taxi Services for the Sutton hospital site. The service is to cover the compliant conveyance of patients including private patients and as a back-up contractor for the conveyance of light goods and specimens between various hospital sites and throughout the UK.

ITT documents related to the full tender are made available from the date the Contract Notice is placed, in accordance with Public Contract Regulations 2015, Regulation 53. However, bidders are advised that the Invitation to Tender documents are provided for information only at this stage and are only to be completed by Bidders who are successful in being shortlisted to the ITT Stage. The top 6 suppliers with the highest scores from the SQ stage will be invited to the ITT stage.
