Digital Discovery - NHS Health Check - Remote delivery of biometric measures

Southwark Council would like to understand how feasible it is to deliver the NHS Health Check assessment using technology to support remote delivery. To do this we would like to better understand how feasible and acceptable it is to carry out the assessment's bio-metric measures (such as cholesterol blood tests) in a person's home.

We particularly want to understand this from the perspective of our BAME and more deprived community groups. If it is acceptable, we would like to understand how best to include these tests work within the customer journey to increase uptake and completion of NHS Health Check assessment’s in Southwark.

This work will build on PHE’s digital discovery for the NHS Health Check, as well as learning from local work in this space. There is great interest from across England in the findings from this work.
We are looking for a digital service design agency who has a good understanding of health care services and systems, working with deprived and BAME communities and an appreciation of the NHS Health Check service, to work with us to take forward this important work.
