Scope
Ashford Borough Council is seeking to procure vehicles, machinery and equipment to support it’s Grounds Maintenance Contract. This contract is subject to an OJEU Notice. The contract has been divided into 4 No. Lots. The Council is looking to award to one provider for each lot. A supplier is however invited to tender for one or more Lots.

Lot 1: Vehicles – Estimated Cost £310,500
Specific Vehicles are required in order to carry out the grounds maintenance operations successfully. Some of the vehicles are specialist and will require custom building. A listing of requirements and a detailed vehicle specification is included in the tender document, and include;

1. General Purpose Van (open back/dropside) – 1 No.
2. General purpose van (tipper) – 1 No.
3. General purpose vans (caged tipper) – 2 No.
4. Custom build vans (beaver tail) – 6 No.
5. General purpose van (panel) – 1 No.
6. Supervisors 4x4 van – 2 No.

Tenderers are asked to supply costs for a number of different pricing options as detailed in the tender document – lease or purchase, and associated services.

Lot 2: Tractor – Estimated Cost £37,000.00
Tenderers are asked to supply a cost for a second hand tractor, and associated services.

Lot 3: Large Machinery – Estimated Cost £373,750.00
Equipment in this Lot includes ride on mowers, mini diggers, water bowers and trailers. A listing of requirements and a detailed specification is included in the tender document.

Tenderers are asked to supply costs for the purchase of this equipment, and associated services.

Lot 4: Pedestrian Machinery – Estimated Cost £47,985.00
Equipment in this Lot includes pedestrian rotary and cylinder mowers, strimmers, backpack and hand held blowers and hedge trimmers.

Tenderers are asked to supply costs for the purchase of this equipment, and associated services.

Tender Return
In order to be considered please ensure your completed tender along with any supporting documentation is returned to Ashford Borough Council, Customer Services Manager, Customer Contact Centre, Civic Centre, Tannery Lane, Ashford, Kent. TN23 1PL in a plain envelope which does not bear a mark identifying your company, using the label attached. Tenders must be returned no later than 14:30 on 12th April 2016

Contract Award
Contracts will be awarded to the supplier who submits the Most Economically Advantageous Tender for each Lot.
