Foster Care Recruitment Market Engagement Events
Nearly 64,000 children live with almost 55,000 foster families across the UK each day. However the Fostering Network estimates that fostering services in England will need to recruit a further 5,900 foster families in the next 12 months.*
To continue to meet the demand locally, we are planning on changing how we market, recruit and assess our foster carers.
Looking ahead, our intention is to commission two separate services, which are outlined below:
1. Service 1 - Marketing campaign to increase the general awareness of fostering in the borough and fostering for Sutton Council;
2. Service 2 - Targeted recruitment and assessment of fostering families.
To ensure we are moving forwards with the most successful model, we are inviting interested organisations to attend our market engagement event(s) and / or a one-to-one meeting.
At the event(s) / meeting, we will be able to provide further information on how we see this model operating and the rationale behind this proposal. It will also provide the opportunity to feedback any comments and suggestions on our direction of travel.
Please note, as we will be commissioning two services, our intention is to host two separate market engagement events. This will help to ensure the information is relevant to those attending. If you wish, you are able to attend both events.
