Description
LGSS are seeking to explore how they will approach to working with enforcement agents and debt collection services in the future. The service will cover Northampton Borough Council, Northamptonshire County Council, Cambridgeshire County Council and Milton Keynes Council initially with the possibility of others joining at a later date.

The debt types include but are not limited to:

• Council Tax
• Business Rates
• Sundry Debt
• Parking
• Adult Social Care
• Former Tenants Arrears
• Housing Benefit Overpayments

LGSS needs to make efficiencies and/or generate income and we are interested in exploring any opportunities which may exist or that can be created to achieve these objectives.

Current options include

• Option 1 In-house enforcement agents and contract supplier(s) for residual enforcement services
• Option 2 Joint Venture (with one or multiple suppliers)
• Option 3 One enforcement agent supplier
• Option 4 A framework of multiple suppliers
• Another option that is developed as part of this process

If you are interested in discussing any thoughts or ideas you might have to this end, we would like to come and visit you for an informal meeting. Dates of visit will be confirmed at later date and we are also interested to see your operations at first hand.

Estimated dates of contract notice

It is expected that any contract notice will be issued in September 2017 and new contract to come commence in July 2018.

The closing date for receipt of completed responses is 12 noon 28 April 2017. Provider Questionnaires cannot be uploaded after the closing date/time.
