Women & Their Families Service
Main contract details
The Service will focus on help for women and their families; who are victims/survivors of domestic abuse; those with mental health issues and those who are misusing substances and also contribute to reducing reoffending (ensuring offenders complete their community orders and licences) with an overall aim of developing better health and wellbeing for women.
The Provider will deliver advice, support and onward referrals regarding their protection to women and families in crisis who may also have drug/alcohol and mental health problems, based upon their individual levels of need, risks and protective factors to build safer environments for themselves, their children/families and their communities.
The Core Service elements of the Service are:
• Provision of advice and support to women - in 1:1 and groups.
• Risk assessment and safety planning for women and their families.
• Assistance to overcome issues related to women and their families.
• Referral & assistance to engage with other relevant agencies
• Where appropriate, provide crèche facilities which allow women with children to ensure care for their children aged 5 years and under whilst they are utilising this Service.
The Provider will provide, facilitate, source or secure access to information, advice and support/groups aimed to help women and their families increase the quality of their lives. This will mean providing space and opportunity for other agencies to co-locate and deliver services alongside those provided by the Women and their Families service.
This contract is planned to run for a period of 5 years commencing on 1 October 2018 subject to continued available funding and satisfactory service delivery.
The estimated contract value is £99,570 per annum.
The Service will be provided from a building within Cavendish Mill, Ashton-U-Lyne - see specification.
