Internet and Intranet at East London NHS Foundation Trust

As an element of the PIN, ELFT are sharing a draft of the specification that provides clarity of our current requirements, including aims and objectives.

ELFT is asking interested bidders to participate in an exercise to help gather information of what is achievable.

To confirm, this is will not be used to evaluate pricing proposals and will not influence the process to award a supplier for the works. That will all be part of the formal tender process.

*About ELFT*

East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT) is an 'outstanding' provider of mental and community health services in Newham, Tower Hamlets, City & Hackney, plus in Bedfordshire and Luton. It has an annual turnover of over £400m and operates out of 160 sites.

The current Communications and marketing function within ELFT is outsourced to On the Level PR Limited and they will maintain the new sites following build.

As part of its ambition, ELFT is looking to procure a one-stop, combined website and intranet which will also include integrating around nine existing microsites. The site will be cutting-edge for the NHS, in that it will help the Trust deliver its Digital First strategy by having strong transactional functionality and integration with existing apps and tools. The site should use the latest tools to maximise accessibility both in design and using powerful search tools and optimisation. This is a major investment for ELFT and one which is expected to lead the way in digital communications for other NHS trusts.
