Description
Sheffield City Council has a need to source the accommodation for supported accommodation-based services for homeless households who require a period of support prior to re-settlement in a permanent home.
We are carrying out a Soft Market Test to understand what accommodation is available in the City for delivery of these services. The accommodation needs to be available in April 2019 for up to 5 years..
The landlord must be a suitably experienced Registered Housing Provider (RP) who can provide only the accommodation or both the accommodation and support. If the landlord does not wish to provide the support and is happy for the Local Authority to commission it this will be welcomed and we will commission the support separately.
We would be interested in being made aware of;
Good quality self-contained family accommodation:-
a) in a scheme based setting, with approximately. 15 to 25 2 and 3 bedroom properties, suitable for 24 hour cover or on call service, with communal space and office space on site, preferably with a children’s play space / area.
b) 10 to 30 dispersed 2 and 3 bedroom properties
c) A rolling programme of 10 dispersed 2 and 3 bedroom properties in which families can stay once their support has been successfully completed, and a new property will be provided.
Please state if any of the accommodation is wheelchair accessible.
You may be able to provide one or all of these three.
Rents and service charges would need to be eligible for housing benefit.
The provision will be for families who have experienced homelessness with a range of needs. Referrals would be via the Housing Support Pathway from the Council and there would be an expectation that providers would be willing to accept all referrals to enable all the needs of homeless families to be met, and to enable the Council to meet its statutory duties.
Please provide details of the accommodation you have available

• Number of units Owner / landlord
• Location / Address/ any relevant issues /community relationships
