Description
Swale Borough Council is inviting Expressions of Interest to tender for Alterations and Refurbishment - Masters House

Masters House is located at Trinity Road, Sheerness within the Mile Town Conservation Area. It is in the southern section of the Conservation Area and was functionally related to the Pumping House adjacent.

To the north is the Parish Church of the Holy Trinity and to the north and west are the main commercial and retail areas of the town. To the east and south are primarily residential areas Item Works relate to the workshops located to the rear of the main Masters House.

Masters House will remain in occupation throughout the course of these works and as such any disruption to daily operations with existing uses are to be minimised.

The works entail a full refurbishment and reinstatement of existing workshops to provide new facilities for use. This includes new roof coverings, new windows and doorsets, M&E services, drainage and structural repairs together with all associated works.

The works primarily comprise of:

- Installation of aluminium framed windows and doors
- Full height timber shutter doors to the outer leaf
- Change of the existing flat roof to a hipped roof
- Installation of a new wc and kitchenette facility
- New M&E services

The contract shall commence on 1st January 2025 and terminate on 30th April 2025. The council may extend the opportunity for a further 2 months. The bidder/s who submit/s the Most Economically Advantageous Tender will be awarded the contract.

Expressions of Interest and the Invitation to Tender (ITT) document must be submitted / uploaded on the Council's e-tendering portal. The closing date for submission of Expressions of Interest and the closing date for the ITT is 18 November at 12:00 noon.

The deadline for tender clarifications is 8 November at 12:00 noon.

Please note the maximum value of this contract / ceiling price is £360,000 (ex VAT). Tenders submitted over this threshold will not be considered.
