The Council seeks Quotes to undertake electrical works to enable overnight beach huts to be built at Manor steps in Southbourne for Bournemouth Borough Council.

The overnight huts will require new power and telecoms lines to be installed from a substation at Boscombe Overcliff Drive and new services to be installed at the Manor steps site. As part of the required infrastructure a private metering enclosure must be constructed and commissioned next to the new SSE substation and a private metering enclosure built and commissioned at the Manor Steps site. Fence mounted lighting must be installed down Manor Steps zig zag along the route of the new power line. Tendered sum to include all materials, plant and labour required.
The electrical works will take place in September 2016, exact date to be confirmed and the works are to be completed within 6 weeks. Allow for the works to be completed in the following sequence;
• Construction of private metering enclosure
• Trenching from the new enclosure adjacent to Boscombe Overcliff Drive down zig zag to site
• Install power cables and ducts
• Install BT ducts along same route as electrical cable **not following route in drawings
• Supply and fit lighting
• Backfill and reinstate from Boscombe Overcliff Drive down zig zag to site
• Construction of metering enclosure Manor steps
• Installation of power and BT lines at Manor steps site as per drawings (trenching, backfill and reinstatement undertaken by others)
