Leicestershire County Council (the Council) welcomes applications from suitably experienced and qualified providers to join the DPS to supply Supported Accommodation placements to Leicestershire’s Looked After Children, Care Leavers, Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children and Young People (at risk of homelessness) not owed a social care duty between the ages of 16 to 18.
The DPS consist of four categories:
Category 3c: Single Occupancy
Category 3d: Shared accommodation – ring fenced
Category 3e: Shared accommodation – non ring fenced
Category 3f: Supported Lodgings
Providers must be registered with Ofsted for the provision of supported accommodation for young people.
Description of the geographical coverage:
Providers will be separated into 2 tiers:
Tier 1 (local) - Placement availability within the Leicestershire County borders including Leicester City
Tier 2 (out of county) - Placement availability outside the Leicestershire County borders
