OJEU Contract Notice - Call for Competition advertised on 14/03/2015 Somerset County Council are seeking to procure a Management Operator for the Somerset Energy Innovation Centre scheduled to open June-July 2015. The Management Operator will: • Provide Facilities Management and Grounds Maintenance for the Centre. • Broker a range of Business Support Services for tenants of the Centre and non-tenants within the supply chain. The aim of the Centre and its services are to promote structural change in the local economy by supporting the development of a low carbon energy and nuclear supply chain business cluster in Somerset and the South West, to support the development of Hinkley Point C, and go on to serve other UK and overseas new builds. The Centre has been part funded by ERDF as part of SCC's Low Carbon Energy Innovation and Collaboration Project. The Centre is located at Woodlands Business Park, Bridgwater, Somerset. There are 3 phases of construction for the campus, this Management Operator contract is for the first phase of construction - divided into two parts named 1a and 1b. Phase 1a is due for completion mid-2015, Phase 1b is due for completion early-2016. SITE VISIT FOR SUPPLIERS - 27 March 2015 Prospective suppliers may visit the construction site of the SEIC on Friday 27th March 2015 - between 13:00 - 14:00.To register attendance for the site visit, please read the details posted on the Discussions section of the contract listing (Suppliers are required to have logged in and registered interest in the contract).Please be aware that the time window will be strictly adhered to, Organisation/Individuals who have not registered attendance through the portal will NOT be permitted on site. Phase 1a is currently under construction, and due to open Summer 2015. Phase 1b will be due to open Early 2016. The Management Operator contract will be for Phase 1 (1a and 1b) for Facilities Management and Brokerage of Business Support services to tenants and non-tenants.
