Description:
The Authority is procuring a Framework Agreement for Major Construction Works from £150K upwards. Contracts will be let to contractors within the framework for the carrying out of various building projects / works, including design where appropriate, comprising new buildings, extensions, refurbishments and associated maintenance. The majority of Capital projects undertaken are to schools, but other projects include office accommodation, fire stations, youth centres, libraries, day care centres and the like that the Authority and other partners have an interest or are a User. The Framework Agreement will be managed by Gloucestershire County Council’s Asset Management and Property Services. The Framework will be open to the Users listed below: Gloucestershire County Council, District Councils, Parish and Town Councils, schools/academies, offices, libraries, day centres, care homes, fire stations and other public buildings mainly within Gloucestershire but may include parts of Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire. The Framework Agreement is intended to allow quick selection of suitable contractors for commissions to suit the Authority’s (and other Users’) requirements, build up working relationships to the benefit of both the contractors involved and the Authority and to improve the efficiency of the capital works programme. Under the Framework Agreement the Authority and other Users will have the option to call-off contracts with framework contractors as and when works are required, though Bidders should note that, under the Framework Agreement, neither the Authority nor any other User shall be under any obligation to call-off contracts with framework contractors. Lot 1 – individual contract values between £150,000 and £450,000 Lot 2 – individual contract values over £450,000 (there is no upper limit to this Lot) The framework will have an estimated total value of £95m over the term of the agreement. Lot 1 – Estimated Value over Framework Term £5m to £19m Lot 2 – Estimated Value over Framework Term £40m to £76m
