A Prior Information Notice for this listing was published 19/09/2015 The purpose of the Growth Hub Service (GH) is to provide independent diagnosis and brokerage to existing business support services in the Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership (HotSW LEP) The HotSW LEP area covers the Local Authorities of Devon County Council, Somerset County Council, Plymouth City Council and Torbay Council. The GH will be a first-stop-shop which will engage with business via various platforms. It will support and link in with existing local and national initiatives without duplicating their offer. The Growth Hub is the HotSW LEP’s main mechanism of engaging with businesses across the area. Somerset County Council as the accountable body for the HotSW LEP is advertising this upcoming contract opportunity through a Prior Information Notice. Background materials have been included in the attachments to this listing - these materials are intended to inform interested suppliers of the context to the intended procurement. Any information contained therein is for this purpose only, the published Procurement Document at the time of a Contract Notice will contain the finalised requirements. The scope of a Contract Notice will focus on the procurement of a provider for the 'Service for All' element of a Growth hub - this is likely to include - Awareness raising about all the publically funded business support in HotSW, marketing the growth hub, LEP messaging to businesses, business intelligence about business support needs, CRM, partnership management. The ERDF calls noted as related are being conducted by DCLG and cover other elements of the overall Growth Hub service, the providers of each will need to work together. The Expression of Interest timing on this PIN will be extended in accordance with the Contract Notice and Tendering timeline. Suppliers that express an interest at this stage will be notified of updates to this listing and the issue of an Invitation to Tender. PRIOR INFORMATION NOTICE - summary Submitted to OJEU 14/09/2015 - Published 19/09/2015 ref 2015/S 182-329851 Short description of nature and quantity or value of supplies or services: The Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership (HotSW LEP) is seeking to establish and develop a Growth Hub service (GH) utilising Government funding through the Department for Business Innovation & Skills (BIS) aligned with the ambition for business support - 'simplifying and rationalising business support in local areas and ensuring that national and local support offers are joined up for businesses'. The purpose of a Growth Hub service is to provide independent diagnosis and brokerage to existing business support services. The GH will be a first-stop-shop which will engage with business via various platforms. It will support and link in with existing local and national initiatives without duplicating their offer. The GH is the HotSW LEP's main mechanism of engaging with businesses across the area. This Prior Information Notice is to inform interested suppliers of the intention for an OJEU Contract Notice to be published at a future date to procure a suitably qualified and experienced economic operator to provide this service Interested suppliers may wish to refer to the information in Section VI for related projects in this region. Somerset County Council is the accountable body for the HotSW LEP and is advertising this PIN in that capacity. The full details of the requirement, including selection and award criteria, technical specification, conditions of contract and other supporting documentation will be provided as part of the 'Procurement Document' on publication of a Contract Notice as a Call for Competition by Somerset County Council.
