Contract: The Good Business Festival - Wirral Event

Details

Buyer:
Wirral Borough Council
Department:
Resources
Title:
The Good Business Festival - Wirral Event
Description:
This provision pertains to the need to amend the arrangements for paying suppliers in respect of a contract previously awarded to The Good Business Festival organisers (DN536626). The Good Business Festival is an event commissioned by the Metro Mayor and the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, delivered by a partnership of Culture Liverpool and Hemingway Design. Contract DN536626 was to part fund activities in Wirral as part of the Festival promoting the Council's regeneration plans and response to the climate change emergency. As a result of delays in delivery resulting from COVID and associated impacts on the scope of activity to be supplied, it has been agreed that Wirral Council recoups the monies paid to the organisers to directly contract with the four local suppliers who will be hosting and managing the event. Advice has been sought from Procurement as to this approach. These payments to local suppliers will be between £4,000 and £6,000 per supplier dependent on final numbers registering for the event via The Good Business Festival website.
