Uplift to original brief to support additional work and add ins. The Spaceport Cornwall project is now moving towards Launch in 2022 and requires a new website for the ‘Launch Our Future’ Year to Launch campaign. To support the overall project in reaching its objectives, Spaceport Cornwall is seeking to commission the design and build of a new, world-class website to promote the opportunity that the Spaceport Cornwall Project offers to our diverse audience. Spaceport Cornwall is a consortium made up of Cornwall Council, Virgin Orbit and Goonhilly Earth Station to provide the UK’s first satellite launch from Cornwall Airport Newquay in 2022. Deliverables to include: • Clear branding with an innovative and engaging design with minimal text. • Content and messaging that captures a global audience and expresses the exciting nature of the project • Online jobs portal for the team to upload new posts as they come available • Online shop for featuring Spaceport merchandise • Media Zone for media to easy access downloadable content. • Team logins to allow full access to the CMS and make the content, imagery and videos of the different webpages editable. • Consider sustainability and impact of the website on the environment. • SEO to help increase our profile and be on the first page when searched on a search engine. • Fully responsive when viewed on different electronic devices. • Latest EU cookie regulations. Have an SSL Certificate. Legal information and site map. Feature our Privacy and GDPR notice. • Built in WordPress so that we can edit and add pages in the future • Social media reel with our latest tweets and events / news. • Able to upload photos, videos, PDFs and to also embed links. • A Contact Us area for different stakeholders (business, education, general) and information about how to get in touch. • Website hosting for a year. The quotation should cover the build and implementation of the Spaceport Cornwall website to meet the following: Generic requirements Must conform to the brand guidelines and include project funder’s logos WordPress Approximately 8 web pages to be created including project overview, media zone, jobs portal, online store, education outreach (structure will be agreed at the inception meeting) Technical specifications Capable of uploading videos PC, mobile phone and tablet responsive across Android and iOS. Minimum compatibility with the following browsers: Firefox v 35 upwards, IE at least 9-10 and Safari at least V 8-9, Chrome, Microsoft Edge The website should be entirely manageable by a web interface to allow changes to be made to images, text and video by the Spaceport Cornwall team. Capable of allowing content to be contributed directly from Microsoft Office applications; this function shall automatically convert documents into the required format, including transferring of images. Accessibility: Minimum “AA” level conformance with the latest WCAG/ W3C standards and guidance The site will support full RSS feeds for news stories and other dynamic content Compliance Inclusion of website copyright disclaimer and accessibility policy The site should highlight ways to be as environmentally friendly as possible. The site will be fully compliant with the Equality Act 2010 and in particular seek compliance with the accessibility guidance such as the Web Accessibility Content Guidelines (WCAG). The site will be GDPR compliant The site, brand guidelines and all material will be compliant with advice from the British Dyslexia Association and compliant with the Dyslexia friendly style guide https://www.bdadyslexia.org.uk/advice/employers/creating-a-dyslexia-friendly-workplace/dyslexia-friendly-style-guide Handover Once the website has been accepted the contractor will hand over all digital assets that are developed during the project as well as administrative access to all aspects of the website. Maintenance, Support Training in making basic amendments and accompanying documentation shall be provided when the site is handed over.
