Description:
The Mental Health Commissioners in Kirklees (which consists of Kirklees Council and the Greater Huddersfield and North Kirklees NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups – the ‘Commissioning Partners’) have commissioned a Mental Health Community Options Services (MHCOS) for people living within the boundaries of Kirklees Council who experience a range of mental ill-health issues. The Commissioning Partners wish to encourage the development of a partnership of providers, working together innovatively and collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes for individuals by improving their experience and enabling better, more effective quality service provision, using resources available more effectively. Lot 1 – Self-help, Wellbeing and Recovery – to support and enable individual’s to work towards improving their own mental and physical wellbeing and recovery. Lot 2 – Creative Arts, Mental Health and Wellbeing - will encourage people to identify their assets and to develop artistically and socially, benefiting both the individual and the wider community. Lot 3 – Mental Health, Wellbeing and the Natural Environment - to maximise access to, and participation in outdoor green spaces. Lot 4 – Women’s Mental Health – to promote recovery, social inclusion and self-determination, decrease social isolation and assist where appropriate in the journey into employment, voluntary work, work experience and further education. Lot 5 – Integrated Carers Options – to provide opportunities for Carers to experience a break from their caring role, through the provision of services for Carers and / or for those they care for and which will ensure the safety and dignity of the cared-for person. Lot 6 – Integrated Mental Health and Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) - an integrated professional independent advocacy and IMHA Service The anticipated start date for the contract is 1st April 2019 or such other date as may be agreed. It is anticipated that the contract will be for 3 years with an option to extend for a further period or for successive periods up to 31 March 2024, or other such date in line with the start date. The estimated total annual value of the contract is £1,619,312.06. This will be split across the following service areas: Self-help, Wellbeing and Recovery Service - £585,602.00 MH Creative Arts Service - £194,129.80 Mental Health, Wellbeing and the Environment (currently The Great Outdoors) - £107,000.00 Women's MH Service - £217,105.54 Carers Options Service - £312,718.72 MH Advocacy IMHA Service - £202,756.00
