Torbay Council is looking to redevelop the Old Toll House, Torquay, to operate as a restaurant. This will require some initial site works to be carried out including the demolition of all adjacent redundant buildings. This is being re-tendered because there were issues with access that took some time to resolve. The buildings have lain unused for several years and have fallen in to a state of disrepair and decay. The Council has cleared a number of rooms of debris but some debris remains and some areas of the structure are unsafe.

Other description:
This procurement is being undertaken following a Further Competition process in accordance with the Directive (2014/24/EU) and implemented in the United Kingdom by the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/102). Devon County Council awarded a Standing List of Approved Contractors (SLoAC) in accordance with their internal Contract Standing Orders on 1st April 2016. On Contracts Finder the SLoAC can be found by searching CP1173-15. Torbay Council has access to this Standing List to undertake Further Competitions.
