Medway Council is seeking to commission these services for the following groups of young people: • Accommodation and support for young people who are Looked After or Care Leavers aged 16 to 17 years of age. There may be the occasion where young people will remain in supported accommodation post 18 years of age, where all parties agree that it is in the best interests of the young person to do so. Providers will be required to accept housing benefit when the young person turns18 years of age. • Accommodation and support for Care Leavers aged 18-21 years or until they finish their education / training programme (24 years) or up to 25 years if they are a disabled young person. Providers will be required to accept housing benefit when the young person turns18 years of age. • Floating support for Care Leavers which is a community based service, providing floating support on varying levels as identified in the individual’s support plan.
